when you first join, why not pause for a moment and tell us something about you.

If you want to help our research, it would be useful to tell us where you live, where your earliest known maternal descendants come from and what your HVR1 and 2 mutations are.

I live in Australia and my earliest known maternal ancestor is my grandmother, Aino Lahtinen, who was born in Finland about 1890. I am still trying to find out more about my family in Finland.
